there is a differance in the time engaged between recount and skada. Skada parse time in fight longer then recount. however the damage done is logged accurately for both. Thus skada shows less dps due to time engaged on mob. I cannot figure out how this happens. i have tested them both at the same time on target dummy along with a stopwatch. they are identical under those conditions for dps, time engaged, and overall dmg. but in raid/group setting is where the differance occurs. My initial thought is Skada engages you whenever a party member is engaged whether your attacking or not. I'm stumped ! any thoughts on this?

I also use both Omen and Recount, but after reading this Im thinking I will try out Skada. The idea of only one addon to manage and using less memory to run it sounds perfectly fine with me.

I've used skada for a while and never looked back... all meters are radius dependent and thus flawed, so I let vuhdo do the work of telling me who is out of range, and generally I can keep the windows fairly orderly. It also tells me alot of other useful info...there is a good article somewhere in the archives about vuhdo as a healbot replacement. I like the idea of leaving a dps meter up during fights, hadn't thought of that...

Hey finally some respect for an addon I been running for six months now. I have had other player tell me I should scrap skadata for recount. I keep telling them what I have is better but no one believes me. Nice to know there are a few ppl who can see the light. Keep up the good reviews!

Nice. I use Recount and Omen religiously, but I will give this a try. Mid-raid disconnects are getting old, and I am beginning to suspect the large number of addons I have, so taking 2 major hogs down to 1 might be just the ticket.
