You’ve been asking about it for a while now, and Dominate Your Server is always listening. Last October we launched the Dominate Horde guild on the Fenris realm, and now it’s time we did the same for Alliance.
We’ve been getting ready in advance this time, and have a couple of options for all of you ally freaks out there. First of all, we took a little flak for the horde guild being on a pansy-wansy PvE server. None of that this time. Our Alliance guild is on a full out warfare PvP server.
Our experience with the Horde guild also taught us that we needed to be pretty certain that we picked the right time zone so that both late night and early raiders can all get in on the action, so the new server is Pacific Time to ensure that those folks on the East Coast have a good shot at getting their fill of raiding at peak server pop times.
Next, we also wanted to make sure that everyone got the experience they needed from the guild. We have a lot of casual players in Dominate, but also a group of pretty serious folks who really want to kick some butt and take some names. To make sure that everyone has a place without rubbing each other the wrong way, we’re not just announcing one Alliance guild – but two.
For the casual player who just wants to hang out with folks and have a good time with people who have their WoW screwed on straight, thee is the DYS guild. DYS will be the nub and learning friendly place to come hang out and get geared up or hone your skills until you are ready to join a much more elite group of raiding folks.
From the very top of the Dominate guild, a group of our senior officers have agreed to defect to Alliance and have formed a sister guild – Dyssention. Dyssention is a hard core raiding team with one goal in mind – clear content now and let Arthas beware. These guys will be raiding all the time, I kid you not, and will have some of the best players we’ve ever seen. You’ll need to apply for Dyssention and you can get details for that during the first live DYS guild meeting.
The meeting will be this Friday at 6pm server time, which (in case you missed it) is pacific. That means 9pm on the east coast. If you’re out of the country you’ll need to figure it out on your own, but I’m sure you’re used to that by now. We’ll meet right outside the front gate of Stormwind to sign everyone up. So come and join the fun, or come to find out more about Dyssention. Either way, DYS wants to give fair and equal treatment to both sides in the Horde vs. Alliance debate.
And even though Law and Gavin are snowed under with an exciting new project these days, you’ll be able to catch them sneaking about the Ally guilds in the coming weeks as Dyssention clears content like a bunch of crazed dogs. So come meet the crew, and make some new friends with DYS and Dyssention this Friday at 6pm server time on the Kalecgos realm. Whether you already DOminate, or want to learn how, you’re sure to find a place in DYS. See everyone Friday!

For the Alliance!
Woot!
May you have plenty of Alterac Swiss to go with the constantly-flowing whine you get from King Varian Wrynn.
Wow. You guys managed to get it backwards
According to census data, Alliance is severely outnumbered to say the least by horde on almost every pvp server. Likewise, Horde is severely outnumbered by Alliance on PvE servers.
The good thing about this is that it does allow the Alliance raiding guild to probably be the best Alliance guild on the server. Not that that will probably take much. Looking at the early numbers, Alliance is outnumbered by a 3 to 1 margin.
Im considering it. Check my name link at the top for stats.
So what does this mean for the current Dominate members on Fenris? Particularly those that can’t shell the $50+ to transfer a character, and transfer factions. I just got done a few months ago spending over $100 to get a couple of toons over to Fenris to join Dominate, and just wondering if the help and advice from fellow guildmates is still going to be there.
i probably shouldn’t speak for Law and the crew, but he did mention that only a few(generally regarded as more than 2 but less than 10) officers were leaving dominate for the new guild. So to me it sounds as though the Dominate guild will still be there. DYS has a large reader base, with more than enough people for a few guilds. Certainly, every DYS guild can’t have Gavin and Law leading the way, but sometimes it just takes a good idea to get things moving.
Are you guys EU or USA iv never noticed lol
US
DOMINATE on fenris is very much still there and you will continue to get help and grow and we welcome any horde already on fenris or xfers to come join us and i look forward to seeing all new members to dys and dominate have fun
Still considering transferring myself.. I am alliance on fenris. Just wondering if I wanna shell out the 30 bucks then I wonder what race lol. My pally is easy, belf. My Hunter I don’t know though on races.
Belf hunters aren’t bad. Trolls are best.
You will see how overpopulated horde is now that your on a pvp server. It’s not a laughing matter. lol. Took 2 hrs to get to brewfest boss yesterday. Wish I new what this game was about when I first started playing and I prolly would have rolled a Horde. It’s so hard to get ally’s to just kill randomly, but horde do all the fun stuff, especially around holidays waiting on ally to show up and kill them haha.
well if yur fed up with horde ganking [i know i was] do what i did i rolled a horde on fenris now iam in dominate and its all good also as this is a pve server you dont have to fret over allies so xfer or re roll your welcome and come learn how to dominate
I did not get the server name for the alliance guild, other then it will be pvp.
dys on Kalecgos realm il be there come say hi
Dude !!!!!!!! Yur awesome, been using yur info and whining i couldn’t switch factions let alone switch servers. Now my dreams answered, an alliance guild AND its on my server…WOOT !! Time to Dominate…see you friday
The article says Arthas for the realm.
Does this mean the Alliance leveling guide is almost ready now?
will the meeting start ingame and move to Vent? Because I want to join as soon as I get my account back, but I could still meet in Vent if that’s the ultimate goal.
Looking for an answer to Stylth’s Q above. I’ll start a lvl 1 toon for the meeting, but need to know a few particulars before I pay for a server transfer. Raid dates and times?!?!
Also, if endgame content is the raiding goal, where is the benefit of bing on a PVP server?
i have to agree with the poster above me.. if your end goal is world pvp number one.. then i can see why PvP is the answer… but for PvE content.. going to a PvP environment where horde are 3-1 outnumbering alli… it doesnt make any sense…. just getting summons out is gonna be a pain in the ass for a start…
id love to bring my main over but i left PvP server for a reason… and i dont think i can bear the grind of getting to 80 and getting geared AGAIN (done it 6 times this year alone… )
Also.. if you wanted to make sure east and west coast as well as the middle got the best times.. would it not have been a better idea to go with a mountain/central based server?
woteva happens.. i wish u guys the best of luck.. wish i cud be there.. but i cant face world pvp again.. it makes me want to break things..
I’ve been talking to Ani and Dindrane a lot over the last few days about what’s going on over on Kalecgos. This is basics.
The goal of having the 2 guilds on the same server is this: Gav and Law are at a crossroads of wanting to vary up the content of the DYS website, hence an alliance guild on a PvP server. If a member of DYS levels high, kicks butt and takes names, and works extremely well in groups, then you can apply to be a member of Dyssention, the raiding end of DYS. Hardcore raiding isn’t the endgame, but rather an understood necessity. Afterall, it’d really suck to have a guild full of players learning the Dominating aspects of the game, just to leave for a raiding guild. This way, we can have the best of both worlds.
Personally, I’ve already started a new Draeni DK and a NightElf Druid on Kalecgos in preparation for the new guild. Hopefully, I can utilize my upper level DK to help propel my druid through the levels quickly, so I can hit 80 ASAP.
just to clarify as post above DYS is a pvp lvling casual raiding guild to show you how we dominate for those that fit the criteria and wish to do so dyssention is a hard core end game raiding guild so dys train and help gear you up and is also the home for fun casual players and is also a platform for entrance to our elite raiding guild look for anibow for dys and zmack for dyssention at the same time our origanal horde guild Dominate is on fenris see dindrane for that what ever floats yur boat just have fun and remember always DOMINATE…
Im very tempted to bring my Pally over for some good raiding, but im guessing I’ll have a tough time making money in the AH as you guys will be taking that over. lol
