I have a buddy who got his flyer at 60 and KILLED Outlands. Now that he’s in Northrend he’s in the same predicament as the all girl review crew; has to run around on a ground while my Druid is gliding on the air currents above him. I love the freedom but I also feel his pain. I guess he’ll really appreciate the freedom flying brings when he gets his rogue to Northrend next and buys a Tome of Cold Weather flying.

I agree completely! I got the “Nothing boring about Borean” achievement on my alt in about half the time it took me to get to a level where I could go on to dragonblight. Being able to do extra quests quicker makes up for not having the XP from mobs you aggro while traveling.

The thing i notice about some of the changes they have made to make it easier to level are only accessible if u already have a level 80 toon, you cant fly in NR or get boa gear unless you have already done it once. I think it is great to not have to go through all the same grind that I already have done. I took a DK from 60 to 70 in about half the time as it took me with my other toons and most of it was because i could fly to where i need to go and not have to kill the same group of mobs 4 different times on chain quest. I personally dont care for questing enough to level alot of toons but since i can ride at 20 and fast ride at 40 then fly through outlands and northrend I am more willing to use time I was just messing around to level classes I have always wanted to try.

If they are grounded again why not just get a port to Dalaran? I have my alts there and their level 13 and 25 lol.

lvling is all in the head. blizz can make it 100 lvls and make xp be a whole lot more than what you get per quest now. with all the boa, buddy package stuff its faster gettin to 80 then when 70 was cap. my first char like most other first chars took a long time but my 2nd took about 14 days play time. you must see that the funnest part of the game to some people is lvling. i enjoy the things you do when lvling. i like pvp while lvling because not every mage or whatever u come across has the same t7 gear. they have different gear at lower lvls. its not all about being lvl 80 to me.

Oddly enough I only fly when in a hurry when first in OL on my alts. I just can’t pass up the extra exp an money I get from grinding mobs between quest objectives.

I agree totally. I bought the BOA book for my Shammy. I was llevel 73 when the patch hit but flying in North Rend 4 levels early made it way easier those 3 levels.

The difficulty as always is in the end game dungeons. As the level caps get raised they have to make it easier to level toons. If they did not new players would be hard to attract and no one would want to level from 1 to 80. I leveled my Shammy to 80 without any leveling guides in about 9 days play time. I had both BOA armor pieces with the 10% increase to XP on each piece and all I did was quest, rest, and heal dungeons. My guild needed another healer and now we have one.
