If you think that this is bad, try a pug bg as alli! My huntard is well geared, and I keep my rotations and dps well managed - yet it never fails that (1) in AB nobody guards the flag, calls inc or even fights on the flags (fail) (2) in EOTS 50% of the alli flock to the flag and fail to fight on flags (fail) (3) in SOA everyone scatters, tanks do not group and are not defended, graveyards are not captured (fail) (4) you get the idea  In PUGs we lose 80% of the time - with my guildies we win at least 80%. Some aspects of the game are the same no matter what - you need good players with you in order to play well...

Great thread.
My DK tank is dead
My healopriest heals like a thoroughbred
My Warriortank's shield is pure lead
Learn both aspects of the game, you said?

The problem now is that it is to easy to level up toons.

It dosn't matter what faction, race or class people pick as they level up so fast they do not learn how to play the class untill they hit 80.
If they took the time to talk to others of thier class and experement with rotations, and learn what thier class can and can't do, great things can happen.

I remember pre-BC doing runs like scholo with 4 hunters and a holy pally for heals, full clear and only pet deaths. I was the best geared hunter with full blues and the DHC gun. Tried it again just after BC with fast leveled hunters (lvl 60-66)and it was a failure as they couldn't use cc or control pets.
My Warrior arms spec tanked ZF at lvl 46 with a 2h weap, had a lvl 50 or 51 druid heals, small pulls. (guild run for fun)
At 70 my Enh kara geared shaman tanked normal mana tombs, duel wielding, several times.

Just wish people would listen to, or ask for advice. It would make things alot easier for everyone.

/taunt you say...........

And I thought my tank was a nub O-M-G I was SO wrong LOL

However I did roll my mage as a response to an idiot mage who refused to polymorph (Heroic Shattered Halls before any nerf) because he was aoe pulling back in the day.

I ran into the guy in IF a few hours after before the 3.2 patch as I was gem shopping for my 4th Tier 8.5 piece when he asked how I got such awesome kit.

I replayed:

A: I have Omen.
B: I let the tank keep agro.

C: I know how to sheep!

I hear ya there, Rege. If you have a good group, and the healer's doing his job, there should be no problems. Healers shouldn't die. Period. They shouldn't fight much at all, and they shouldn't die. It's not always the tank's fault, though, either, it's the group as a whole.

The DPS's should hold off the mobs from the healer when things are getting thick. Bad tanks lose track of things pretty quickly. From my experience, the worse the tank, the less aggro he can hold and the more focused on 1 or 2 mobs they'll be. The worse the tank AND Dps's, the more the healer needs healed or just dies. Then the group's doomed.

To be completely honest, IMO, healers should be the group leaders. It'd take a lot of headache out of most instances.

Keep your chin up, Rege.
