I started doing this with 3 AH toons & it was working great.
The only problem was still with the item toon, I continue to re-post epic/purples and superior/blues. I was still dreading going through all of the equip-able items - sorting out the greens that were over 14 days & sending them to my dis-enchanter
I got to thinking about the original ideas of the post - making all of these things I put on the AH much easier to do, so I took it one step farther. I have added a second equip-able items AH toon and he is only used for the uncommon/greens He posts auctions on Thursday, Saturday and on Monday I sort through all of the greens much faster. I don't have to check each one for green, blue or purple. I just look at the number of days since it was purchased and I'm done sorting those very quickly.

Sorry, Law. What I ment was... if you Post auctions every 3 days, but you Buy items Every day and send them to your Item guy, they sit in the in box for 2 days (one for the next day).

But thanks for the clarification with the DE DK. I am going to try this layout tonight.

Items only go up 4 times before they are DE'd. That means twice only two weeks running. So, no you don't roll items. And the DE guy rolls his own auctions. Of course - I do this just to keep the different item types separate - it's not necessary. My main banker does other things for professions. But either way will work.

This is true, of course. You only need to hit 375 to do merely DE work. However, since Enchanting has no dailies and you can buy all the high end recipes with shards (which you should have in plenty doing all the DE), it's not a bad idea to work up to 65 so you can enchant your own toons with anything you should need. Except that pesky mongoose enchant, but that's not all that hard to find.

Hey Law, I had 1 question about the rotation.
the item guy logs ever expiration of auctions, so you only need to log him ever few days. But if your feeding him new items, is it not best to put them up right away? I know its time consuming to post 200+ auctions at a time, so I tend to do it in batches, so when 1 set expires, I am not overloaded (assuming they didnt all sell - and with items, it can sometimes take a few lists).

and second, does the DE DK post the matts he get's from the matts or does he roll them back to the main. The reason I ask this is, if he indeed sends them back and doesnt post anything himself, then why wouldnt you just have him as a main banker and have a 2nd banker as the item handler.

Just looking for clarification. Thanks guys. helpful as always.

Agree with Griezz.

My DK enchanter is at level 60, and if I ever want to do the high end encahnts I will need to level him. BUT if his sole roll is to DE and list for profit (which it is), then his level is fine.

That said, I like your devolution approach. I have just started to do the same, and it is a LOT easier to follow what's happening this way. Grats on another really good article!

http://www.wowwiki.com/US_realm_list_by_datacenter

This is a list of US realms organized by datacenter, battlegroup, time zone, and realm type. Also included are the IP addresses of each realm server, and the IP address of the last hop from the player's computer to the server when doing a trace-route.

http://www.speedtest.net

This is a very handy tool, I used it to help me find a better realm to play on (as far as my connection speed & ping).

I transferred to a server with some friends and when I tried to play on weekends it was a nightmare of lag & dis-connects. I found my newest home using these tools and by creating a DK to test it out before I transferred. I should have done this before and I could have avoided the wife aggro.

A good article showing how to get started on a new server. However, there is one small correction that I feel needs to be made.

In your description of the DK as enchanter, you write that it is a "no-brainer" to level the DK up to lvl 65, so as to make it a Grand Master Enchanter. However, if you're talking simply about gold and not enchanting, evern that isn't needed.

See, the highest items in the game (let's use the epic dagger Bladetwister as an example) only requires 375 skill to disenchant it. 375 can be acheived simply with Master Enchanting, which only requires lvl 55. That's right... before you even step foot in Outlands, you can already disenchant the most powerful items in the game.

Now, if you actually want to be able to use the highest enchants yourself, of course you need to get Grand Master, which means getting to lvl 65. However, if all you want to be able to do is DE items so that you can AH the mats, then you don't NEED to go that far.
