It goes out when your factions fire is lit. As long as the Horde fire is lit, you have the buff, once a pesky Ally player puts if out you lose the buf until it’s relit.

I’ve noticed in Northrend areas, you don’t keep the buf long at all because there are tons of Horde and Ally players stealing the fire from the other faction.

heirloom 10% and the festival 10% do stack, sweet. in the 10 days left gona lvl my mage from 69-80 and w/e time left will go to my lock

Honoring and desecrating bonfires is a big chunk of xp (or cash for level 80), too. Doing all Alliance & Horde fires in both old-world continents gave a mid-50’s character about 2 levels worth of xp.

XP and leveling isn’t all there is to Midsummer. My mage is selling a lot more portals than he used to. During the holiday I replaced my usual bank alt with my mage, so I spend more time in the cities. People will pay a lot of money to shorten the time on grabbing an achievement! I probably made 600g already, not giving a price, letting them tip me to their whim. The people who tip extra(20g+) make up for those who don’t tip at all.

I am trying to find any information about whether or not the heirloom shouders, plus recruit-a-friend and the bonfire buff will all stack. I might find out in a few minutes.

This is one of my favorite events. Except this time it doens’t look like the damage (global) buff is sticking as long anymore. Do you think that’s a fix that blizzard created? Previously the buff would stick for 30m to a few hours, before someone has to light the fire again. Now it seems that it goes out after just a few kills.

Can someone post the location of most bonfires for level 10-60. i am currently leveling an alt in redridge and dont see any bonfires.

I would like to point out. If you have 2 accounts with he recruit a friend buff, you get a huge chunk of xp for stealing the hordes flame and honoring your own.
