Yeah, I’m curious as to how much it will cost (price range maybe)?
Wow, Gavin you come a long ways, since the days of you and I exchanging email … love the pod casts.
do you have a price on the new lvl to 80 guide and the money making guide?
LOL all the stuff Gavin and his team has given us u ask for a free guide. lol Still makes me laugh. come on now really. giving free tips is 1 thing but to put out a great guide and a in game mod to go with it now that is a winner!!! If some1 is going to put that much work into something they should get paid…Just heary up with the thing already so i can buy it and get my toon up to 80.
I just got done listening to your speel about Death Knights. I really think you need to break out of your mentality where your bring a class and spec, rather than a player. Ghostcrawler has emphasized again and again that they want to break away from from ‘guaranteed spots because of your spec’ and start having guilds choose their raid groups based on the skill of the individual player. Quit this s*&^ about how “you might choose between a lock and a DK when building a team or raid” and other stuff. The new motto is “bring the player, not the class.” Just thought you might want to be updated….
That’s all fine and dandy, and I’m sure Mr. Greg Street is working hard to try to balance all the classes and builds so that almost every class and spec would be viable for nearly any spot in any group or raid, but that’s not really what he’s saying.
You can’t take 25 of the best warriors and do a raid. 25 healers won’t survive. You still have to build a team based on certain needs for nearly every raid. It’s nonsense to think that choices won’t have to be made based on spec and certainly not on class.
It’s still going to be the case that DK’s, no matter how skilled or geared, will ever be able to main tank a high-level raid. It’s crazy to say that you could have ALL DK’s for DPS if you need some CC. That’s just ridiculous.
I understand where Mr. Street, Ghostcrawler is coming from and it makes sense. A crummy DK player SHOULD not be chosen over a highly skilled lock, but that’s just common sense right? It’s not an exclusionary mentality, it’s just the way the game works.
This is especially the case when you have a situation where you have a guild with a LOT of skilled players. The fact remains that a skilled main tank and healers will always have a spot in raids. And in that same vein it’s not out of line to think that even though Blizz is doing it’s best to get things balanced out where any DPS can fill any DPS spot, there will still be cases where a DK will be better than a lock. And then other times you might want a lock over a DK with skill and gear being fairly equal.
Anyway, this is a silly assumption based on what is taking statements from the lead developer for something they were not intended to mean. If they want it to be based solely on skill, there will be only one class, or all fights and dungeons will be the same. Besides all that we said you “MIGHT” choose one over another not WILL. It’s just going to depend on what you need based on what you’ve got to choose from. But there will always be choices.
Thank you for the transcription. Makes it a lot lighter on my D/L limits.
Thanks, great Show!
That Podcast was good as always But my question still remains… Where / How can I farm gold as a Fury / Bladestorm Warrior?
i know you have a server up and i want to join but im in Europe so i cannot join your server
but i love the info keep it up
How much gold does a regular lvl 80 kill in Northrend drop?
Another very enjoyable and informative podcast.
Roll on next Friday!
You compare DK with other classes in regards to raiding, but you never mention Feral DPS Druids. Alot of people think they are not all that useful, but personally I enjoy them, and I know they can put out some serious burst damage. I was just wondering if you can make any comparisons between the two?
