OMG, Its good to see a handful of peope have seen the errors in this build and rotation.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bZZG0fwRfkfiqfdAo
is my build at 70 when i went into WotLK stuff. Basically when leveling like said INT is your main stuff. then Spirit then stam. that basically kills everything.
Im a Dwarf so i have slightly increased stam neway which is handy adn i picked up mining which really helps but when leveling low HEAL!!! at lvl 20 I beat a Paladin 10:2 in duels. We both were virtually twinked and the fights took like 10 mins each.
Squishy can be a problem in the 68-80 stuff ive experienced but most of the time bubble and Heal with a Well used pet adn silence can effectively end fights with full hp. when you hit lvl 9 Spirit tap is your man then you want the shadow focus adn imp SWp then mind flay . skillwise you're a Mind blast and Dot person.
Vampiric Touch is your opening move followed quickly by Vampiric embrace. Then You stick on SWP. Mind Blast. The Health giving DOT(sorry forgot its name but will remember when ive posted lol).Flay (or wand for a bit if your low) then just jump around going /lol until they die. Only problem here to watch out for is pulling mobs but if your pulling two at a time you should be ok from then on as your health given by Vampiric embrace and the Health DOt is sufficient to keep you going.
Also TOP GLYPH is definitely the 20% heal from your shield. thats a nice bit of health to jump around with. This is PVE only tho lol so dont try this one on melee players as they will /Spit in your eye adn then hack you to death whilst you scream. If You have got a low lvl Priest but got turned off because it didnt have the name of a fat spell caster just remember your semi lock semi mage.

Law, I think you got it right here. I've maxed two priest using pretty much the sme "rotation" you memtioned and I've always soloed. I could not have done this with out "the bubble". I'm confident enough to wade into 3 mobs, of comparable level and survive. Patience is is required.

ok this is nice and all, but you guys alway always underestimate the potency of a holy priest lvled up from lvl 10. couple of advantage with em. do like they say tough stakc intel gear and if you can get some spirit or stam on it even better, with my priest build right now i can take down pretty much every class in the game exep for these 3, hunter, rogue and lock. yet i dont loose out on the healing factor, and lets say it wich group will take a shadow priest when they want a healer?

holy priest makes outland a joke the quest becomes so easy.
in holy tree you still have some dmg tallent that can be usefull.
here's my build i use, i made it on the way and did not bother folowing a guide. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Tanaris&n=Altaan.

I levelled as shadow. It was pretty good in terms of a kill speed and downtime ratio.

I disagree with people's comments about gear becoming instantly obsolete. Anyone with T6 is likely to keep it until they hit 80 -- the same happened with T3. Most classes found that the T3 set bonuses (8- or even 6-piece) made their old world gear worth hanging onto right through those levels, even though the changes to stamina made a difference to new gear in that regard. I knew people with T3 that reached 70 very quickly, simply because of their gear that was still decent at the end of those ten levels.

And with WotLK, there are no big changes like there were with the large stamina increase. Spellpower changes the dynamics of gameplay, not effectiveness of gear. So far I have not seen anything pre-75 that makes current level 70 epics obsolete -- especially badge rewards (iLev 133+ gear).

Personally, I only had full T2 when TBC was released, and ended up replacing my last piece at level 67. But you are right in saying that going to the effort of getting purples now will not be worth it. It's not so much sub-75 greens that will have better stats, but dungeon drops post-75 that will be incredible upgrades for T4 (and equivalent) and possible upgrades for T5 (and badge rewards).

Don't forget achievements, too. If you have been fortunate enough to have had the time to belong to a 25-man raiding guild and progressed through BT and Sunwell, then your hard earned T6 will not go to waste, even if you do decide to replace every last piece by level 79. The gear will count towards achievements -- and you will know that your achievements were at level 70, not easymode redoing the raid instances at 80. ;)

My priest was my first toon to lvl. He has always been #1 for me. I started in Disc tree for the massive amount of mana regen. Spirit was always my #1 stat I went for. I had very little down time. At lvl 60, after TBC came out, I went shadow to try that out. I went for as much spell power and crit as I could get. The result? It was roughly the same! Mobs went down faster; however, I had more recoup time.

I came to the conclusion that I enjoyed killing mobs faster. So I stuck with the shadow tree, and am now a Shadow Priest for life. OK, we'll see...

Ok seriously i dont want to brag and cause arguements but seriously priests are the laziest class to play. I have played one up to 69 atm and i just loved it. I have never5 had a single problem with adds or anything because of my fantastic use of talents.
ok so 5/5 Spirit tap is the first 5 u want it just drops ur downtime by like 1000000%
then what most people dont think about is go wand. This crossed with your best wand and later on when you have all the tgreat shadow debuffs on your target adn a good shadow wand such as in nagrand, does more damage than ManaBurn.
ok so you 5/5 imp wand then you 3/3 imp shield. This is PRO...
All you do now from lvl 22 - 60 is dump ur points in shadow, ignore blackout for leveling and actually shadow form is not needed until like lvl 60.
You open with a mind blast then PW:pain then if you have it, mind flay until they are attacking you then shield up and wand. you can wand a target down from 50% health if you make sure ur wand is good, it doesnt always have to be the best blue either, just has to be a good dps which you can afford. i might take 5% damage from the mob in total, lose 5% mana taking one mob and i can move straight onto my next mob. i grind faster than my dagger shadow step lvl 70 rogue. I can kill 10 mobs and then (love the pet thanx blizz) i let my pet out who gets me back up to nea4r full mana again.
basic stats are int and then spirit. like 2/3, 1/3 balance with LOTS of spell crit. my opionion being that if you can punch harder then you take less time to kill a mob and use less mana. the spirit just reduces your downtime because your always gunna need a drop at sum point for your cup of tea...

although an anhance shammy with mana gear is almost undefeatable on kill speed. i get through 20 mobs before drinking, eat only for buffs and 90 % of my kills take less than 10 secs

I also disagree with this little guide. Mostly your 5/0/56 talent set. You don't need 5 points in shadow weaving. 2 or 3 at the most because by the time you get 5 up the mob is going to be dead anyway. Instead go with the 14/0/47 coupled with spirit tap. Your mana regen will be awesome and you will be able to kill alot more. Skip the blackout because even with 5 points in it, it still procs seldomly

Actually, some drops (mostly weapons) from MC and AQ40 were pretty flipping' amazing compared to a lot of 67-69 dungeon drops. I have a 70 ret paladin (don't laugh) and I looked at the Dark Edge of Insanity, only the lvl 70 raid weapons are better. :P
