The patch notes no longer say anything about changing the lvl for mounts.
Does this mean their not changing the lvl or what? im also wondering when they are going to finally do this patch.

DocMindle...

Your point on twinks:

Twinks ruin nothing for less geared players. Honestly. If you're saying it ruins all the fun because they less geared players get killed more, then you're still mistaken. It just takes a different play style, and some adapting. For instance, if you're a healer, it takes learning to stay the eff away from the rogues. And if they get close enough, use whatever CC you have.

If you're saying that all twinks ruin the fun because people aren't able to get their PvP gear at each bracket, then you're also mistaken. I've seen a group of 5 level 15 or below be carried by 5 level 19, and at least one of which was not a twink. (mine. Vladdie, on the Maiev server, Whirlwind BG) We were playing against a team that had a 3 twink rogues, 1 priest, a few hunters, and a few other un-twinked 19s.

If you don't care about PvP, but play for recreational reasons, why do you care if you win or lose?

====================

Seperate point: Personally, I think spending time at *9 level of each bracket is a great idea, and adds SO much to the game play. Try making money with a toon without AH whoring, leveling, or any primary professions. It's CRAZY fun. You have to be imaginative, careful that you don't level, etc, etc.

You also learn a great deal about your class when you twink. You learn your limitations, what you can and can't do.

.....Anyways, that's my bit.

gavin, thaks for your response. i don't do tailoring cuz i go with gathering skills on all my characters. so yes, at the very least i'll break even. my bank character is all full of silk and just waiting for the patch to go in effect. i totally understand supply and demand on the auction house and like that you pointed it out. i wish others would take this into account and maybe it's a topic for a future dys page. it is so frustrating to get a blue mat drop, like a raw gem, and to post it in the auction house only to check the next morning and see that some idiot has posted 30 of them under you. undercutting is the way of the ah, but by posting a lot of an item, especially an item that people only buy one or two of at a time, just throws the whole thing out of wack, drives prices down, screws everyone else who has posted out of their deposits, and also screws the poster since there is no way that many of the item will ever sell in a day or two. even high-demand items, like this silk, i will only post a few stacks at a time (with the new patch or later) to ensure demand stays up by keeping the supply down. thanks again and hopefully there will be some profit in this patch somewhere.

@DocMindie: I agree that their ought to be some restictions, perhaps stat caps or something to that effect, but making so people get EXP per kill? That will push a lot of normal players out of the bracket.

Also, ghost wolf is a lv 20 skill XP.

For myself... I've always given up on most of my alts in their 30's because I've been so effing tired of the slow running. Exception was the Droid and the Huntard which has Travelfrom/Aspect of Cheetah (and Shammies have their Ghostwolf, though I've not got a Shammy above lvl 30 yet :P )

So I see this as a nice move, it'll give me an incetive to play my numerous alts since they're not slow anymore.

And FFS... TWINKS?????? Twinks are for complete losers who doesn't understand the EGI raids, so they ruin any and all fun for normal players in the BG's instead.

One thing I'ld LOVE to see implemented, is that if you're below the max level, each kill of the opposite faction will give you XP so you can't kill more than about 200 then you're out of the twink-zone.

Keeping a toon at 19/29/39 simply ruins the games for those of us who doesn't really care about PvP but do it for recreational reasons

Whoa whoa whoa... Silk donations? I'm trying to get an undead horse for my BE rogue and even with the wool, silk and mageweave I won't have enough rep by lv 40. I know for a fact you can't keep giving silk cloth. Except for runecloth, you cant repeat any cloth donation. If it were possible to do multiple turn ins, then silk would already be selling like hotcakes, and believe me, on my server you will be lucky to get more than 60s per stack. I hope there is a return policy on all the cloth you bought.

i think they should keep the level 30 mounts but be nice to the twinks by not allowing them in the battlegrounds until 40

Tatsumasa,

That's very creative thinking on the silk cloth turn-ins. I'm not sure how much of a price bump you'll get, but I can see your reasoning.

The only problem I see is that there is always such a huge volume of silk on the ah anyway that the price increase may not be very large. Silk is almost always in a demand deficit compared to supply but we would love to hear how it turns out for you. Also, there is a limited amount of rep to be gained from the silk turn-ins.

Even if you buy too much silk now and don't get the price bump you want, you could probably make some money turning all that cloth into green silken shoulders and then disenchanting it all and selling the mats. The enchanting mats from de on the shoulders is probably worth more than the cloth and will resell faster. At the bare minimum you can certainly break even.

If you don't have a tailoring and enchanting alt and the silk isn't reselling well, trickle it back into the ah and don't just attempt to dump it all at once, you'll mess up the supply and demand scale and prices will drop. Patience is a virtue most of the time when dealing with large quantities of anything at the ah.
