here is a little extra for all you mages. I have been using this macro for a couple of months and love it.

#showtooltip Polymorph
/clearfocus [target=focus,dead]
/clearfocus [modifier:alt]
/target focus
/focus [harm,exists,nodead] target
/targetlasttarget [harm]
/target [noexists] focus
/cast [target=focus,exists] Polymorph

Also, this technique is invaluable for Warlocks.

If you need to keep a mob Banished or Seduced there are a bunch of macros that let you:
Set your focus to your mouseover target;
Cast Seduce|Banish

Then on the next press, re-banishes or re-seduces your focus, allowing you to continue DPSing the main tank’s target.

It means you don’t have to stop DPSing for a second.. just mash the macro button while some long-casting spell is in progress if it’s a Seduce – it’s a pet ability, so doesn’t notice the global cooldown.
With Banish you have to wait for a gap..not a huge problem.

I had never thought of the attacking multiple melee targets with focus macroes, ill have to try that next time i tank kara without a priest. for those spell macroes before the “/cast [target=focus] spellname” part put in a simple “#showtooltip” and it will show the spell tooltip instead of the macro name if your worried about not seeing it, i always find it useful to check how much mana im using
