I love this site. I am from Kirin Tor and I deal in consumables which almost everyone needs from, potions, cloth, elixirs, food (from fishing and cooking). I sell the items i farm for, i also however, buy cheap when there is an influx in AH and sell high as these are items that people buy for both pve and pvp.

I started a toon when I have 1.30 silver I head to ogrimaar. If you go to the reagent guy in Cleft of Shadow he sells rage potion for 1 silver post it on AH for 60s/1g 20s buyout it usualy sells quite quick, back to reagent guy and buy all rage potion he has maximum I have seen is 2 and also buy the 2 greater rage potions back AH same price again and for the greater rage potion sell them at 1g 20s/2g 25s. Starting with 1s 30c in a week buying all the vendor bought recipes and potions in ogrimaar I made 100g. Another great seller is leather ball from leather worker vendor. Lots of people think these items are drops.

With my 100g I buy 10 greater magic, astral, mystic, nether essences etc and change them in to 3 x 10 lesser essences as it requires no skill to do this great money can be made just by watching prices.

Your best friend in making money off of the AH is Auctioneer. It keeps track off all going ons in the AH. Everything AH is in Auctioneer. You can steal 10,20,50, or even 100 gold if your lucky enough by using the search by buyout option on Auctioneer, and spend 10-15 minutes searching everything over a 20g buyout to see if someone accidently forgot to set auction price, and only set buyout. I have picked up over 200 gold, for a mere 3 gold. What happened is the seller put a 200 buyout, but left the auction price the same. I then resold it (with proper auction price) and ended up a richer man for it.

I wish I would have found this guide earlier! I really learned a lot of this on my own trial and error. By the time I found this guide, which is almost identical to what I do, I had amassed over 20,000 gold over the last 8 months! I started with only 20 gold when I started buying commodities and then reselling them for at least 50% higher prices than what I paid and many times I sell for 2-3x more.

Also, deal in enchanting materials. Watch the prices and buy cheap and try to control the market. The best part is that there are no deposit costs unlike other items.

Lastly, know your market! Don't jump in, watch it for a while and look for trends. Be patient. If the AH is chock full of your item then you may have to sit on your items for a few days or even a week.

Bottom line: I make more in AH by buying and reselling than making any items from my toons skills. I now average about 500 gold per weekend and it only takes an hour to an 90 minutes per weekend so it does not interrupt my play!

I think that is brilliant! I think you over-looked one thing. Although you won't make aton of money doing this, buying things like linen cloth and copper can be good as well. Some people will do enchanting and blacksmithing for there Alt because they can be the most profitable. They simply send all the money needed to their Alt and buy wat they can't get on their own. Also, they all have buy-outs and if you buy out everything and only put three of four on but at a high price, u canearn yourself a large sum of money.
